Deputies: Masked gunman robs Fort Mill convenience stores

— A masked gunman robbed two Fort Mill convenience stores early Friday after deputies say he walked into the store, held a gun at employees and demanded money.

The first robbery was reported at 3:38 a.m. at the Sunoco gas station on S.C. 160. The suspect, who deputies say wore a red bandanna over his face, a long-sleeved black shirt and gray pants, also held a red bandanna over his right hand as he presented a gun at an employee and demanded cash.

About 10 minutes later, deputies say a robber matching the same description held up Times Turnaround on U.S. 21 Bypass, holding employees at gunpoint as he demanded the store's money.

Deputies are still investigating the robberies.

On Thursday, a man wearing a bandanna over his face robbed the Quick Trip gas station on S.C. 49 in Lake Wylie. It's unclear if this incident is related to Friday's robberies.
