Shots fired into 2 Rock Hill apartments

— Shots were fired inside two Rock Hill apartments early Thursday, leaving bullet holes in the wall and slugs on the floor, according to police.

Police were sent to an apartment unit on Charlotte Avenue at about 12:50 a.m. when two women told police they were in the living room of their home when they heard an object hit the outside, according to a Rock Hill police report. Police found a hole in the living room wall and a shotgun slug on the living room floor about a foot from the wall.

A neighbor told officers that while she was inside her apartment, she heard what sounded like a gunshot near the house, the report states. Police found a hole that appeared to be caused by a bullet fired from another apartment. Police could not make contact with the residents in that unit. Police managed to track the tenant by contacting city utilities.

Authorities continue to investigate.
