ROCK HILL — Police arrested a woman this week accused of trying to steal 14 boxes of cold medicine from the Walmart on Dave Lyle Boulevard in Rock Hill.
The 44-year-old Rock Hill woman was charged with shoplifting Wednesday afternoon. A loss prevention employee said she put several items in her purse and then went to the self-checkout, where she paid for a Dr. Pepper, according to a Rock Hill Police report.
The worker stopped the woman from leaving the store and took her to the loss prevention office.
When she emptied her purse, the employee found $106 in cold medicine, a pack of bandages and drill bits, the report states. The total value of the stolen items was $141.69.
