ROCK HILL — Members of the public will have the opportunity to hear a presentation of the 2014-2015 Rock Hill school district budget and give comments at public hearing on Monday night at 6.
The hearing will be held at the district office at 660 North Anderson Road.
The packet containing the proposed budget can be seen here.
At last Monday's board work session, board members expressed concern over the budget, which consists of $134.9 million in expenditures but only $133.5 million in revenue, resulting in a shortfall of about $1.4 million.
Even with additional proposed cuts, the district will still need to use about $776,000 from the fund balance.
Following the public hearing, board members will again discuss the budget in work session.
A budget must be passed by July 1.
