ROCK HILL — A Rock Hill teenager was arrested Thursday afternoon becoming agitated when detained by police.
Police were called to the Northside Recreation Center on Annafrel Street around 4:45 p.m. when pool lifeguards reported possible gang activity in the parking lot, according to a police report. The lifeguards saw Emanuel Anthony, 18, and another person in the parking lot and overheard them talking about being locked and loaded and ready to shoot someone, the report states.
When officers approached the pair, they began talking loudly and using profanity. When the officers tried to get Anthony to calm down he grew increasingly upset, punching his own hand, yelling and cursing and jumping up and down.
When officers tried to arrest Anthony, he twisted his body and locked his arms and legs. Anthony was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
