A fight over a cigarette at a Waffle House led to the arrest of a Rock Hill man on Sunday afternoon, according to a Rock Hill police report.
A woman told police that her boyfriend, Zederek Chambers, 34, assaulted her at the Waffle House on Herlong Avenue. He punched her in the face after she wouldn’t give him a cigarette, the report states.
The fight continued at their home on Main Street when Chambers wouldn’t let his girlfriend in their house and began pushing and punching her, the report states.
The girlfriend had two black eyes and scrapes and cuts on her arms and legs from the incident. Chambers has a prior criminal domestic violence conviction from 2008.
At jail, Chambers told the officers he was going to “kick their (expletive).” An officer had to use his Taser “due to his aggressive demeanor,” according to the report.
Chambers was charged with criminal domestic violence and two counts of threatening the life of a public official. His bond was set at $30,000.
