Yard sale find taken during breakfast at Waffle House

July 13, 2014

— A 78-year-old Rock Hill man reported to police that someone stole a table from his car as he ate breakfast at a Rock Hill Waffle House.

The man said he bought the glass-topped metal table at a yard sale then stopped for breakfast at the restaurant on Cherry Road near Interstate 77.

After finishing his meal, the man found someone had cut the tie-down cord used to hold the table in the trunk on his orange Cadillac. The table was gone, according to a York County Sheriff’s Office report.
