FORT MILL -- It was a long night for the Charlotte Knights as they dropped both games of a doubleheader against the Durham Bulls. The Knights fell 6-2 in the first game and 3-1 in the second game.

The Charlotte Knights have pushed back the proposed opening date for a new stadium in Charlotte to 2010, team officials said Wednesday.

FORT MILL, S.C. -- In a game that featured four lead changes, Toledo used a solo home run by Dane Sardinha in the top of the ninth to defeat Charlotte 6-5. Sardinha's walk-off homer concluded a rally by the Mud Hens, who trailed the Knights 5-3 going into the eighth.

FORT MILL -- Charlotte used a four-run barrage in the bottom of the seventh inning to break a 4-4 tie and then held off Toledo in a 10-6 victory over the Mud Hens on Sunday.

In most games, victory is about the team that makes the most out of their opportunities. That's exactly what the Bisons did on Sunday to collect their fifth and sixth wins in the last eight days.

FORT MILL -- After playing just two games in the past five days, the Charlotte Knights looked rested and not rusty. Starter Wes Whisler and the rest of the Knights pitching staff didn't need much help to beat visitng Durham 5-2 at Knights Stadium.

FORT MILL -- Scranton Wilkes-Barre was spotted six runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back in a 9-5 victory over Charlotte on Friday.

FORT MILL -- Three in a row was enough for the Charlotte Knights. Coming into Thursday's game with the Scranton Wilkes-Barre Yankees, the Knights had lost three straight -- including two to the Yankees -- but that all ended in the Knights 10-2 win over the Yanks.

FORT MILL -- The Charlotte Knights (7-3) stayed undefeated at home with a 6-5 win against the Columbus Clippers (2-9) at Knights Stadium on Sunday. The Knights have won their first three games at home this year and have a 6-1 record against the Clippers this season.
