FORT MILL -- Scranton Wilkes-Barre was spotted six runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back in a 9-5 victory over Charlotte on Friday.

Cody Ransom and Shelly Duncan each hit home runs off Knights starter Rob Bell (1-2, 11.25 ERA) to build a 6-0 lead. Duncan finished 2-3, both hits coming off home runs.

Yankees starter Kei Igawa (2-2, 2.49) picked up the win for Scranton.

Charlotte's Dewayne Wise helped keep the Knights in contention with a pair of home runs. Wise went 2-4 with three RBI's on the night.

The Chapin native is hitting .382 for the season, putting him in the top five in batting average in the International League.

The Knights begin a five-game roadtrip today.
