CLOVER -- Northwestern dictated the pace for three quarters Tuesday night. Clover got the game running at a speed more to its liking in the final stanza.
Fort Mill had its rematch with Clover circled on the schedule for three weeks. Friday night, the Yellow Jackets exacted their revenge for an embarrassing loss at Clover on Jan. 9. It took overtime for Fort Mill to get the 61-57 win, but the extra period only made it that much sweeter.
South Pointe outscored the Rock Hill Lady Bearcats 7-2 in the overtime period and stretched their region 4-AAAA record to 4-1, but the 48-43 win did not come easy.
With the bitter taste still in its mouth from a loss to Northwestern less than 24 hours earlier, Clover made amends Saturday with a 66-47 road victory over South Pointe.
