McBee 28, Indian Land 20

INDIAN LAND -- The difference between Indian Land upsetting McBee, the No. 5 team in Class A, and having to swallow a tough loss was three plays. McBee was able to capitalize on Indian Land's mistakes and hold off the Warriors for a 28-20 win.

McBee struck quickly on a 30-yard run by Deshawn Allison, who ran in the 2-point conversion to make it 8-0. Two plays later, Josh Camarire hit Jarrell Robinson, who broke a tackle and raced 85 yards to make it 8-6. McBee then fumbled at its 25-yard line, and on the next play, the Warriors' Breyon Williams scored to make it 12-8.

The second quarter was dominated by McBee. The Panthers' Julian Steen hit Johnthan Dixon for a 49-yard touchdown to make it 14-12. The Panthers made it 22-12 just before the half on a 4-yard run by Santonio Wright. The drive was aided by a fourth-down pass interference penalty on Indian Land.

Coming out of halftime, the Warriors had an 85-yard drive that took more than nine minutes of the third quarter, but it resulted in no points. Ted Boston dropped the Camarire pass on fourth down in the end zone.

Halfway through the fourth quarter, Dixon intercepted Camarire for the second time. His interception led to a 14-yard run by Jamari Wright to make it 28-12.

Camarire found Boston on a 31-yard pass to make it 28-20 with 2 minutes left, but Indian Land failed to recover the onside kick. The Panthers ran out the clock and held on for the win.
