Buford 35, Indian Land 21

BUFORD -- On Homecoming at Buford, the Indian Land Warriors brought their best passing attack against the Yellow Jackets' running game. It was Buford's defense which pressured Indian Land's Josh Camarire all night and the rushing of Andrew Jennings and Dillon Hydrick that led to the Yellow Jackets' 25-21 win.

Jennings had three touchdown runs of 25, 34, and 4 yards. Overall, he had 13 carries for 119 yards and he had a 56 yard kickoff return to set up another touchdown. Hydrick had a 5-yard TD run and Mikeem McKinney added a 43-yard touchdown run for Buford. As a team, the Yellow Jackets rushed 44 times for 266 yards. For Indian Land, Camarire, despite being sacked seven times, was 16 for 24 for 235 yards and three touchdowns. Ted Boston had eight receptions for 108 yards and one touchdown and Jerrell Robinson had five receptions for 75 yards and two touchdowns for the Warriors.

The difference in the game was that Buford completely shut down Indian Land's running game. The Warriors were held to 2-yards rushing by the Yellow Jackets. Marcus Brown had three sacks for Buford while Jeffrey Massey had two and a half sacks. McKinney had two interceptions for Buford, his second interception, which came off a deflection with two and a half minutes left, ended any hope of an Indian Land comeback.
