KERSHAW — Indian Land turned up its intensity in the second half and the Warriors picked up a win over North Central.

The game was scoreless at halftime, despite Indian Land quarterback Ted Boston’s third interception of the season.

The Warriors got better effort from both offensive and defensive lines from the opening kickoff of the second half.

“We came out and got a three-and-out to start the second half,” Warriors coach Mike Mayer said. “We held them to one first down in the second half.”

Breyon Williams rushed for two touchdowns after the break, and Deon Sales added another as the offensive line asserted itself, allowing Indian Land’s tailbacks to take over the game.

“We scored on three out of four possessions in the second half,” Mayer said. “Led by three different tailbacks.”
