There will be fun for horses and families at the Equestrian Ministries Saddle Club Family Fun Day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at B&B Arena, off S.C. 55 on Beamguard Road in Clover. There will be games for people and horses. The drill team performance will be at noon. Gospel music starts at 3 p.m. Bring chairs, and concessions will be available.
Sunday, November 1
The Winthrop University Tuba Euphonium Ensemble will perform at 7:30 p.m. at the Frances May Barnes Recital Hall. The concert is free.
Monday, November 2
Celebrate Westminster Towers' 20th Anniversary Celebration at the “Taste of Music” from 7 to 8:30 p.m. There will be performances by the Northwestern High Troubadours, York County Chorale, Winthrop University String Quartet and Winthrop Opera Theatre.
Wednesday, November 4
Catch the opening performance of Neil Simon's “The Good Doctor” at 8 p.m. in the Johnson Studio Theatre at Winthrop University. The merry comedy, performed by the school's Department of Theater and Dance, will run through Sunday.
Friday, November 6
It is time for dinner and murder at the City Club, 140 E. Main St. in Rock Hill. The curtain opens at 8 p.m. for “Murder Over Shrimp Cocktail,” a murder mystery dinner theater four-act play by Greg Paxton. The play also runs on Saturday.
The Yorkville Artists' Guild will have its members' art dinner and auction at 6 p.m. in the Magnolia Room of Laurel Creek in Rock Hill. The event is catered by Outback Steakhouse. A drawing of the tickets, available for a $1 donation each, will be held for framed originals by guild members Joe Zdenek, Larry Blackwell and Jack Bolin.
Providence Gallery, located in the Manor Theatre Shops in Myers Park, will present Innermost Thoughts, a solo exhibition of female figurative paintings by critically acclaimed Rock Hill artist Harriet Marshall Goode. Meet the artist at the opening reception from 6 to 9 p.m. at the gallery, 601-A Providence Road, Charlotte. The exhibit will be open through November.
