Newspapers in Education

NIE Logo

What is NIE?

Newspapers in Education (NIE) is a national program that helps teachers incorporate newspapers into classrooms as a way to improve reading and writing skills and help students understand how current events shape the world we live in. The Herald provides an electronic edition of the paper for classrooms to use.

What's the price?

Thanks to partnerships with local business who sponsor the NIE program and generous contributions from readers, the NIE program is free to teachers. There are, however, a limited number of subscriptions available. If you're interested in subscribing to the NIE program, contact Michelle Reid.

To view the online edition of The Herald, please login below. You must be a participant of the Newspapers In Education (NIE).

Access Is Denied

To view the e-Edition of The Herald you must be an NIE subscriber. If you believe you have gotten this message in error, or you would like more information about the NIE program, please contact Michelle Reid.
