A former judge for the City of Chester and his wife were held hostage for three hours today by a man believed to be their son, according to the Chester County Sheriff’s Office.

Carl Glenn and his wife, Sylvia, where held hostage in a home on York Road, south of Lowrys, said Chester County Sheriff Robby Benson.

The man had two shotguns inside the house, Benson said. Joshua Alberdean Glenn, 21, was apprehended after he left the house and rode away on a bicycle, he said. Charges are unclear at this time.

Members of SWAT teams from Chester and York counties, as well as members of the State Law Enforcement Division, were on the scene.
