Several wrecks snarled traffic on Interstate 77 northbound in Charlotte Tuesday morning.
A wreck closed the left lane of I-77 northbound near Nations Ford Road, Exit 4.
By 7:45 a.m., two more wrecks were reported on I-77 northbound, between Westinghouse Boulevard and Arrowood Road.
At 9:30 a.m., the left lane of I-77 northbound lane was closed at I-485, Exit 2, because of a wreck.
At the same time, the right lane of I-85 northbound was blocked by a wreck at mile marker 28 west of Charlotte. By 10 a.m., all lanes were open, but the acceleration lane from the weigh station to I-85 north was blocked.
Earlier wrecks were reported on I-77 southbound near John Belk Freeway and I-77 southbound near Cornelius, Exit 28.
A 6:30 a.m. wreck caused delays on I-85 northbound in Cleveland County near Kings Mountain.
At 7:30 a.m., a wreck with injuries was slowing traffic on I-485 Outer Loop at mile marker 33 near Charlotte. A lane had been blocked, but was reported open by 8:30 a.m.
At 8:45 a.m., the right lane of I-40 eastbound in Statesville was blocked by a wreck near U.S. 21, exit 151.
At 9:15 a.m., a lane of I-85 northbound in Belmont was closed because of a disabled tractor trailer.
