CLOVER — Sue Kirsh of Clover, wife of Rep. Herb Kirsh, D-Clover, for 59 years, died Sunday, according to her son, Mike. She was 78.
Sue Kirsh came to Clover, her husband's hometown, from New York City in 1950 after the couple married. Her husband is the oldest, and longest-serving, member of the S.C. General Assembly. He took office in 1979.
Sue Kirsh was a homemaker who often went with her husband to Columbia for legislative sessions. She was active in several civic and social groups in Clover.
Funeral services are pending, Mike Kirsh said.
