Lake Wylie Lutheran Church will hold its first meeting of the Career Transition Support Ministry from 7 to 8:30 p.m. March 24 at the church, S.C. 160 W. and Gold Hill Road, Fort Mill.
The meetings, facilitated by the Stephen Ministers of Lake Wylie Lutheran, will provide confidential, Christian fellowship for people making job or career changes to discuss feelings, issues and actions during this transition time.
Participants will share their experience and what they plan to do. Facilitators and other participants will provide feedback and ideas to help focus on successful action plans while strengthening a faith relationship with God.

The meeting format begins with a devotional followed by introductions, individual weekly check- in, group discussion topics such as feelings, resumes, networking, interviewing, follow up, family and how to market yourself.
Each meeting will end by identifying action items for the coming week and close with prayer.

Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church, 15000 York Road, Steele Creek, will host a Job Skills Fair from 2 to 4 p.m. April 5 in the Boyd Education Building.
Church members and Charlotte area career professionals, including Presbyterian Career Counseling Center , Central Piedmont Community College and Financial Peace University, will be available to address the issues of potential job loss, developing the skills needed to search for a job and the anxiety accompanied with such life changes.
