YORK -- Mrs. Lukie Belk Long, 83, of 515 Windy Hill Road, died Thursday, October 30, 2008, at Piedmont Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2008, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, with the Rev. Bob Moss officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2008, at Lakeland Memorial Park in Monroe, N.C.
A native of Monroe, N.C., Mrs. Long was the daughter of the late Luther and Cora Kiser Belk. She retired from Hoechst Celanese Corporation in Rock Hill where she was a supervisor in the spinning department. She also worked at the Children's Shop in Rock Hill. Mrs. Long was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star, Catawba Chapter 131 and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in York, S.C. She was the widow of William Alexander Long.
Mrs. Long is survived by her daughter, Linda L. Creighton and her husband, Bill, of York; her sister, Kathleen Belk Fowler of Matthews, N.C.; two grandchildren, William Alexander (Alex) Creighton and Leesa Jill Creighton Iannone; and two great-grandchildren, Alexis Nichol Iannone and Carlee Ann Landon Iannone.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, November 3, 2008, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road in Rock Hill, S.C.
