ROCK HILL/ MOUNT PLEASANT -- Milton Halper Wolman, 93, husband of Patricia Giblin Wolman, of Rock Hill, S.C., and Mount Pleasant, S.C., died peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, July 11, 2007. The family of Milton Wolman will receive friends at his memorial service, to be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2007 at The Oratory, 434 Charlotte Avenue, Rock Hill.
Mr. Wolman was a native of New York City, the son of the late Aaron and Miriam Halper Wolman. A retired pharmaceutical administrator, Mr. Wolman lived in Rock Hill for over 23 years. He enjoyed sharing his time between Rock Hill and Mount Pleasant. Mr. Wolman was a former volunteer with the Dorothy Day Soup Kitchen in Rock Hill and was an avid fan of Winthrop University sports.
Mr. Wolman is survived by his wife; daughter, Maggie Wolman Evans and her husband, Barry Davis Evans of Mount Pleasant; sons, John Wolman of Harrison, Maine and Peter Wolman of Shavertown, Pa.; six grandchildren, Wendy Wolman McIntyre, Jill Wolman LaRosk, Sara Wolman, Aaron Wolman, Matthew Wolman and Davis Halper Evans; and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sons, Tom Wolman and Gene Wolman.
