ROCK HILL -- Miss Alene Stonestreet, 91, of Rock Hill, formerly of Winston-Salem, N.C. passed away Saturday, July 14, 2007 at Piedmont Medical Center.
Miss Stonestreet was born March 19, 1916 in Davie County to Tom and Bessie Granger Stonestreet. She was the owner of Blackburn's Dress Shop in Winston-Salem from 1945 to 2001. Miss Stonestreet was preceded in death by two sisters, Elva Stonestreet, Lib Sofer Dorn and two brothers, Carl and Earl Stonestreet.
Surviving are three nieces, Regina Kane of Rock Hill and Jean Lloyd and Sharon Stonestreet, both of Richmond, Va.; and two great-nephews and a great-niece.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. today at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel by Rev. Bill Berry and Rev. Donald Funderburke.
