ROCK HILL -- Mr. Daniel Edward Guyton, 47, of 709 North Avenue, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at his home.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2007, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, with the Rev. William H. "Buzzy" Elder Jr. officiating.
A native of South Carolina, Mr. Guyton was the son of the late Jyles Chester Guyton Jr. and the late Cornelia Cogburn Guyton. He was a lifelong musician and played heavy metal and bluegrass. He taught guitar lessons at Woody's Music for over 10 years and was one of the best string instrument players this town has ever seen. He played in several bands: New York, Green Ice, Truckstop Preachers, and Dam-o-rama. He also recorded with P. J. Brunson.
Mr. Guyton is survived by one brother, Stephen Andrew Guyton of Rock Hill.
