CLOVER -- Mr. Marshall B. Mitchell, 78, of 2715 Filbert Highway, died Thursday, July 19, 2007, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, S.C.
Funeral service will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2007 at Filbert Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Wallace Tinsley and the Rev. Dave Hall officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens.
Mr. Mitchell was born Aug. 13, 1928 in Clover, S.C., to the late James Calvin and Emma Fay Stephenson Mitchell. He was a Veteran of the U. S. Army and a member of Filbert Presbyterian Church. Mr. Mitchell was an avid farmer, loved his garden and loved his family.
He is preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Skinner and a brother, Jim Mitchell.

Survivors are his wife, Aileen Houston Mitchell of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Neal and. Debbie Mitchell and Eddie and Mary B. Mitchell, both of Clover; two sisters, Helen M. Houston of Clover and Isabelle M. Bryant of Fort Mill, S.C.; brother, John Otis Mitchell of Clover; grandchildren, Neal Mitchell Jr., Angie Mitchell, Greg Mitchell and Josh Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Garrett Mitchell and Dylan Mitchell; and numerous nieces & nephews.
The family will receive friends at 2 p.m. Sunday at the church. Memorials may be made to Filbert Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 2066 N. Highway 321, York, SC 29745.
