CHESTER -- Mr. James Douglas "J.D." Robinson of 628 Fernwood Drive, formerly of Ridgeway, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007, at Chester Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Barron Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Steve Bishop officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Robinson was born in Chester on Aug. 28, 1943, a son of the late John Stoy Robinson and Minnie Broome Robinson. He was a graduate of Chester High School and was retired from Sequa. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by a daughter, Denise R. Branham of Winnsboro; three sisters, Margaret R. Roberts and a niece, Linda Roberts with whom he made his home, Gladys R. Ogle of Crawford, Ga., and Joyce R. Hinson of Chester; three brothers, Hazel S. Robinson Sr., L. Alvin Robinson and Glenn E. Robinson, all of Chester; two grandchildren; and his caregiver, Genelle Campbell of Chester. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby R. Robinson.
