ROCK HILL -- Mr. Joshua Truman Blackwell, 16, of 129 Adnah Hills Ave. died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007.
A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, at Rogers Memorial Church, 1820 Eden Terrace (across from Sullivan Middle School), with Mr. Dale Dove officiating.
A native of Spartanburg, S.C., Joshua was the son of Wanda Kathleen Hyatt of the home. He attended Northwestern High School and loved fishing and football.
In addition to his mother, Joshua is survived by his maternal grandparents, Nancy Hyatt Crump and William Kenneth Crump of the home; his maternal great-grandmother, Kathleen Hyatt of Rock Hill; his brother, Jacob Dillard Martin; his stepbrother, Aaron Z. Blake, of Rock Hill; his aunts and uncles, Amil and Stephanie Kruger of Indian Trail, N.C., and Michael and Alisha Byrd of Rock Hill; his uncle, David Andrew Crump of Rock Hill and his aunt, Hali Nicole Crump of Rock Hill; four great aunts; two great uncles; seven cousins; and his godfather, Charlie Spencer Blake Jr. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Sam Ledbetter and his great-grandfather, Thomas T. Hyatt.
