PONTIAC -- The funeral for Russell Gerald Jackson, 69, of Pontiac, will be 11 a.m. today, at Spring Valley Baptist Church, with Dr. Robert Winburn officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at their home.

Mr. Jackson died Friday, Sept. 28, 2007. Born in Whitter, Calif., he was a son of the late Clarence and Mary Graham Jackson. He retired from hydraulic sales with Gaines W. Harrison with more than 20 years service. Mr. Jackson was a youth and Y.M.C.A. soccer coach for many years. He was a Gamecock fan who enjoyed gardening and doing for others. Mr. Jackson was a member of Spring Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Beatrice Jackson; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Joseph McKinnon of Raleigh, N.C. and Teresa and Billy Williams of Rock Hill; son and daughter-in-law, Russell C. "Rusty" and Betsy Jackson of Pontiac; grandchildren, Shannon and Matthew McKinnon, Alex and Tyler Williams, Patrick and Nathan Jackson; and siblings, Mary Wilson of Fullerton, Calif., Beverly Newell of La Mirada, Calif. and Jean Delk of Pontiac. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jackson was predeceased by brothers George and Clarence Jackson Jr.
