CLOVER -- Mr. Robert Lewis Hendrix, 90, of 101 Jamestowne Circle, died Sept. 30, 2007, at home.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, at Earle Rainwater Funeral Home, Summerville, Ga., with the Rev. J. B. McNeil and the Rev. Mike Cavin officiating. Burial will be in Summerville Cemetery, Summerville, Ga. A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at First United Methodist Church, Clover, S.C., with the Rev. Michael Walker and the Rev. Irvin Plowden officiating.
Mr. Hendrix was born Sept. 20, 1917, in Chattooga County, Ga., to the late Walter D. and Stella M. Hix Hendrix. He was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran, a life long Methodist and a member of the First United Methodist Church, Clover and was a dedicated egg poultry farmer.
Survivors are his wife of 62 years, EllaMae Fairfax Hendrix of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte H. and Robert Dowd of Clover; sister, Anne H. McCary of Summerville, Ga.; brothers, Elmer Hendrix of Wilmington, N.C., and Frank Hendrix of Summerville, Ga.; grandchildren, Carin D. and Ryan Scott of Southfield, Mich., and Jeff and Veronica Dowd of Rock Hill, S.C.; and two great-grandchildren, Jordan Scott and Aidan Scott, both of Southfield, Mich.
