ROCK HILL -- Mrs. Georgia Teeter Gaulden, 72, of 2909 Greenwood Road, passed away Oct. 1, 2007, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, at Friendship United Methodist Church in Rock Hill, with the Rev. Mike Vandiver officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery, Rock Hill.
Mrs. Gaulden was born July 27, 1935 in Johnson City, Tenn., to the late Charles Hamilton Teeter and the late Gertrude Pippin Teeter. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a dedicated Methodist, very active in church activities including nursery and Sunday school teaching, women's group leadership and the Amity Club. She was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church in Rock Hill.
Survivors are her husband of 52 years, Robert Gaulden; her son, the Rev. Charles Gaulden of Lakeland, Fla.; her daughters, Anne Pekie and son-in-law, Ken Pekie of Moscow, Idaho and Judy Rhodes and son-in-law, the late Phil Rhodes of Shallotte, N.C.; her brother, Jerry Teeter of Johnson City, Tenn.; her sister, Virginia Pierce of Johnson City, Tenn.; her grandchildren, Joy and David Bertling of Moore, S.C., Melody and Derek Horton of Spartanburg, S.C., Ben Gaulden of Spartanburg, S.C., and Chadwick Wallace of Portland, Oregon.
