ROCK HILL -- Mrs. Helen Jones Wingate Belk, 85, of 1602 Stonehill Place passed away on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2007, at Westminster Healthcare and Rehab in Rock Hill.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007, at Woodland United Methodist Church, with Dr. Larry Parker, the Rev. Douglas Jones and the Rev. Terry Wingate officiating. Burial will follow at Laurelwood Cemetery.
A native of Sharon, S.C., Mrs. Belk was the daughter of the late Haskel V. Jones and the late Pearl Brown Jones. She was a member of Woodland UMC for over 55 years, where she taught Sunday school and was the superintendent of Sunday school. She served in various committees and was director of Woodland UMC Preschool. She also volunteered Hope House. She was the widow of John Wingate and H. C. Belk.
Mrs. Belk is survived by her son, Wayne Wingate and his wife, Polly of Rock Hill; her stepson, William H. Belk and his wife, Edna Anne of Rock Hill; her daughter, Judy Bundy and her husband, Larry of Hiawassee, Ga.; her brother, Howard Jones and his wife, Louise of Rock Hill; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and special friends, Arthur Thompson and Mary Nan Stafford.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 6:30 p.m. today, Oct. 9, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill and other times at 1602 Stonehill Place.
