YORK -- James William Jenkins Jr., 60, of 1639 Shytle Lane, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
A native of York County, Mr. Jenkins was born April 27, 1947, a son of the late James W. Jenkins Sr. and Ruby Jenkins Jenkins. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam, employed by Star Paper Tube, loved his family and enjoyed sports. Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by a brother, Toney Jenkins.
Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Rev. Linda Tedder Jenkins; daughter, Angela Constantine and husband, Andrew of York; son, Dr. William Jenkins of Spartanburg; sister, Peggy Westbrook and husband, Bobby of Rock Hill, Jeanette Crenshaw of Van Wyck, Hilda Parker and husband, Mike of Seneca; brothers, Windell Jenkins and wife, Linda D. of Rock Hill, Harold Jenkins and wife, Carolyn of Catawba; three grandchildren Andrew, Alex and Ayden Constantine.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jerry Phillips and Rev. Linda Dunn officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
