FORT MILL -- Mrs. Geneva Freeman Coggins, 88, formerly of 422 Williamson Street and for the past 17 years 2791 Dr. Nichols Road, York, S.C. went to be with her Lord and loved ones at her residence on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007.
Graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Unity cemetery in Fort Mill with the Rev. Gene Flack and Mr. Phillip Farris officiating.
A native of Fort Mill, Mrs. Coggins was born on Sept. 12, 1919 in Carnesville, Ga. She was a daughter of the late James T. and Bertie R. Freeman and the widow of Halley (Pop) Coggins. She was a member of Nondenominational True Fellowship of Jesus. She was retired from Springs Fort Mill Plant. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren where she always had Tootsie Rolls for them.
She is survived by her son, Johnny and wife, Saundra Coggins of Rock Hill, S.C.; three daughters, Frances and husband, Kenneth Lane of Philadelphia, Tenn.; Brenda and husband, Billy Haire of Fort Mill; and Bertie Swanger of York, S.C. ; three brothers, Harold Freeman of Rock Hill, S.C.; Jimmy Freeman of Waynesville, N.C.; and Vernon Freeman of Greenwood, S.C.; one sister, Irene F. Riddle of Saluda, S.C.; thirteen grandchildren; John Jr., Chasity, Josh, Jim, Angie, Samantha, Amity, Billy, Jr., Cathy, Roger, Jamie, Tammy, Teresa; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Glenrock Baptist Church in Fort Mill and at other times at the home of her daughter Brenda Haire, 2040 Haire Road in Fort Mill.
