YORK -- Mrs. Muriel B. Martin, 79, devoted wife and loving mother, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, Nov. 26, 2007.
Her celebration of life service will be held on Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Rock Hill, S.C. Visitation will be held following the service. Burial will be private.
A native of Morganton, N.C., Mrs. Martin was the daughter of the late Melvin E. Burns and the late Susan Mull Burns. She worked with her husband at Martin Paint and Supply Company for over 40 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church serving as a Sunday School teacher and a faithful choir member for over 45 years. She was an honorary member of Agape Baptist Church in Zephryhills, Fla. The family wishes to thank all the relatives and dear friends who cared so much for Muriel during her illness.
Mrs. Martin is survived by her husband of 58 years, James T. Martin Sr. of the home; her sons, Dr. James T. Martin Jr. and wife, Jan of Summerville, S.C., and Ron L. Martin of Rock Hill; her daughter, S. Lynn Martin of Charlotte, N.C.; her brothers, Melvin E. Burns Jr. of Moorehead City, N.C., and Ray S. Burns of Valdesse, N.C.; her sisters, Inez Ernst of Decatur, Ga., and Sarah Veneable of Pineville, N.C.; and one grandson, James T. Martin III.
