ROCK HILL -- Ms. Ruth Bailey Sutton, 80, formerly of 3338 Mt. Gallant Road, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, at Piedmont Medical Center.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, at Grandview Memorial Park - S. Cherry Road, with the Revs. Jesse Sims and Richard Coleman officiating.
A native of Lancaster, S.C., Ms. Sutton was the daughter of the late Wardlaw and Iva Carter Bailey and widow of William Richard Sutton Sr. Ms. Sutton attended Grace Church of the Nazarene. She retired from Industrial Mill, where she worked as a cone creeler for over 38 years. Following her retirement she worked 10 years as an attendant at Willowbrook Washerette.
Surviving are her son, Michael Wayne Sutton and his wife, Debra of Catawba, S.C.; her daughter, Sandra Renee Huffstetler and her husband, Ray of Rock Hill; three sisters, Mildred Kennington of McConnells, S.C., Mae Craig of Greer, S.C., and Yvonne "Sissy" Cabe of Clover, S.C.; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ms. Sutton was preceded in death by her son, William Richard Sutton Jr.; two brothers, Ernest "Sonny" Bailey and John T. Bailey; and two sisters, Shirley Ashworth and Edna Lockridge.
The family will receive friends today, Nov. 29, 2007, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at Greene Funeral Home Downtown Chapel, 355 E. White Street, Rock Hill, SC 29730 and other times at the home of her son, Michael Wayne Sutton, 4450 McCallister Road, Catawba, SC 29704.
