SURFSIDE BEACH -- Harry "Crip" Dennis Sr., 75, of Oceanside Village, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at Waccamaw Community Hospital.
Mr. Dennis was born in Baltimore, Md., a son of the late Amos and Lucy Dennis. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and retired from the U.S. Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Stanley and Kenneth.
Mr. Dennis is survived by his wife, Bonnie LeDane Dennis of Oceanside Village; one son, Harry Franklin Dennis Jr. and wife, Beth of Lake Wylie; three daughters, Donna Pizzola and fiancé, Leonard Kiser of Manassas, Va., Kimberly Munday and husband, Wesley of Fort Mill and Kelly Edwards and husband, Jonathan of Lake Wylie; nine grandchildren, Heather, T.J., Dana, Jessica, Trey, Rebecca, Robert, Jonathan and Matthew; four great-grandchildren, Nathan, Antoniah, Lane and Colin; and one sister, Anne Erdman of Ellicott City, Md.
A memorial service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel officiated by Carlene Gillam.
