TEGA CAY -- Ronald Bernard Kazel passed away Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, at his home in Tega Cay, S.C.
Born in Milwaukee, Wis., Ron was an educator, judo Sensei, union activist and all around good friend. His enthusiasm, loyalty, persistence and great sense of humor made him a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend to many across the United States. Although a short-time Tega Cay resident, Ron made his mark as an active member of the lions, the city's Public Relations Committee, Finance Committee and candidate for City Council. Ron loved to make friends and make a difference in the world. We remember his warmth, his laugh and his grand heart.
Ron is survived by his wife, Jackie; son, Ron and daughter-in-law, Valerie; and grandchildren, William and Catherine.
Family and friends are receiving visitors in memory of Ron at 25072 Woodhaven Drive in Tega Cay on Tuesday, Dec. 11, from 4 to 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Lion's Club's scholarship fund in care of the Tega Cay Lions Club, P.O. Box 3333, Fort Mill, SC 29708 or to the Tega Cay Volunteer Fire Department, 5000 Tega Cay Drive, Tega Cay, SC 29708.
Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
