ROCK HILL -- H. Donald Beamguard, 79, of Rock Hill went to be with his Lord on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007. A native of York County, Mr. Beamguard was preceded in death by his parents, R.T. and Carrie Beamguard of York; four sisters, Virginia Coleman, Ann Brown, Mildred Russell and Frances Murdaugh; and his brothers, R.T. Beamguard Jr., Wess Beamguard and Jim Beamguard.
Mr. Beamguard was a veteran of the U.S. Army and stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from RH Printing & Finishing after 49 years of service. He was a former part-time employee of Piedmont Medical Center and Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. He was a long time member of First Baptist Church and attended the Sunrise Sunday School Class.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sara Estes Beamguard; his son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Bonnie Beamguard; and his daughter and son-in-law, Iris and Don Wilson. Mr. Beamguard was blessed with three grandchildren, Anna and Addison Wilson and Christopher Beamguard; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at First Baptist Church of Rock Hill on Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 2 p.m., with Dr. Larry Sizemore and the Rev. Charlie Lucas officiating. Entombment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends, Tuesday, Dec. 18 at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m.
