CHESTER -- Mr. Grady Clyde Board, 71, of 107 Nichols Street, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, at his home.
The funeral will be 3 p.m., today at Barron Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gerald Funderburk officiating. Burial will be at Chester Memorial Gardens.
A native of Reidsville, N.C., Mr. Board was a son of the late James Eli and Mary Singletary Board. He was retired as a shift supervisor from Springs Industries and formerly worked at Winn Dixie part-time. He attended Chester County Schools and Saluda Street Church of God. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
In addition to his wife, Montene C. Board, Mr. Board is survived by his stepson, Lee Carter and his wife, Cheryl of Blackstock; his granddaughter, Elizabeth McDonald of Blackstock; a great-grandson, Seth Suter of Blackstock; a brother, Chester Board of Chester; and a sister, Dorothy Fortner also of Chester.
