ROCK HILL -- Mr. William Albert Neal, 71, of 1748 Eden Terrace, passed away Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, at his home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 2, at West End Baptist Church, 1727 McConnells Hwy., Rock Hill, with the Revs. Mike Lowery and Barry Yates officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park, S. Cherry Road. Military honors will be conducted by The American Legion Honor Guard of Frank Roach Post #34, with assistance from The Rock Hill Fire Department Honor Guard.
A native of Rock Hill, Billy was a son of the late Albert Leroy and Louise Coleman Neal and the widower of Dora Milliken Neal. He was a retired Captain of the Rock Hill Fire Department where he worked as an arson investigator. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of the Korean and Viet Nam Wars and was a member of the York County Fraternal Order of Police. He was also a member of West End Baptist Church.
Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Johnathon L. and Barbara Neal of York; his daughter and son-in-law, Allisia Ann and Eric Broome of Blacksburg; his sister, Brenda Revells of York; and four grandchildren, Master Joshua Neal, Miss Grace-Lyn Neal, Master Cameron Broome and Miss Carrie Ann Broome.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at Greene Funeral Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, and other times at the home.
