CLOVER -- Mr. Carrol Timothy Duncan, 85, of 2995 Filbert Highway died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, S.C.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dave Stanford and Dr. Paul Noe officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens.
Mr. Duncan was born Oct. 22, 1922, in Spartanburg, S.C. to the late Walker Duncan Sr. and Ethel Queen Duncan. He was a World War II veteran of the 774th Tank Destroyer Battalion, 3rd Army and served under General Patton. Mr. Duncan retired from Celanese after 37 years and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Ruby Boone Duncan of the home; daughters, Carolyn D. Queen of Clover, S.C., and Gayle D. Noe of Rock Hill; brother, Walker Duncan of Irmo, S.C.; grandchildren, Dr. Paul Noe, Sherry E. Buchanan and Brian Noe; and four great-grandchildren.
