MANCHESTER, Tenn. -- Mrs. Willie Edna Blackmon Garner, 90, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008, at Medical Center of Manchester in Manchester, Tenn.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, with the Revs. Joey Nelms and Jason Garner officiating. Entombment will take place at Grandview Memorial Park Mausoleum on Cherry Road.
A native of Rock Hill, S.C., Mrs. Garner was a daughter of the late Patrick Henry Blackmon and the late Ella Roberts Blackmon. She was the widow of Fred C. Garner Sr. and attended Mt. Gallant Church of God. She was a loving mother and a good wife.
Mrs. Garner is survived by her sons, Fred Garner Jr. and wife, Linda of Rock Hill and Rev. James Garner and wife, Sharon of Gaffney, S.C.; her daughter, Carol Garner Whitaker and husband, Curtis of Manchester, Tenn.; her brother, Ellie Blackmon of Lancaster, S.C.; her sister, Evelyn Browning of Lancaster; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
