CRAMERTON, N.C. -- Ruth Stroud Gee, 83, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008, at Robin Johnson Hospice House.
She was a native of Gaston County, N.C., and was the daughter of the late Eddie Lewis and Hattie Dula Stroud.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Founders Chapel, McLean Funeral Directors - Gastonia, N.C., with the Rev. James Barnes and the Rev. Mike Ivey officiating. Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Gee was a member of West Cramerton Baptist for 58 years. She was an employee of Burlington Industries for many years. She was actively involved in Warm-Up America, an organization making blankets for the underprivileged.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Roger Gee and Nita of Rock Hill, S.C.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Louise Stroud Day and Bill of Hendersonville, N.C., and Fay Stroud Passmore and Virgil of Gastonia, N.C.; grandchildren, Stephen Timothy Gee and wife, Kashelle Lockman of Bethesda, Md., Jillian Rebecca Gee of Cary, N.C.; great-granddaughter, Kailey Arden Gee; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Truman William Gee Jr.
