ROCK HILL -- John Mintz Workman, 73, of 2284 Blossom Drive, passed away at Piedmont Medical Center on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008.
Services for Mr. Workman will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel with Dr. Larry Parker and the Rev. Carolyn Gesche officiating with burial at Grandview Memorial Park on Cherry Road.
A native of York County, Mr. Workman was the son the late William Samuel Workman and Faye Mintz Workman. Mr. Workman was a member of Woodland United Methodist Church and retired from Comporium as a supervisor at the plant work center. He served in the U. S. Army from 1957 to 1959 stationed at Fort Monmouth, N.J.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Workman was preceded in death by his daughter, Patty Workman Sizemore; and grandson, Kyle Gregory Sizemore.

Mr. Workman is survived by his wife of 50 years, Julia Bell Workman; his son, Mark Brian Workman of Rock Hill; his daughters, Lisa Workman McGuire and husband, Jeff of Charlotte, N.C. and Susan Workman Hammond and husband, Eric of Rock Hill; his brother, Joe G. Workman and wife, Allene of Rock Hill; his grandsons, John Brundick, Barrett McGuire, Quinn McGuire and Chase Hammond; and his step-grandchildren, Brett McGuire and Trisha M. Tindall.
Visitation for Mr. Workman will be 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2008, at the Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road in Rock Hill and other times at the home.
