ROCK HILL -- Mr. Enoch Dingle, 86, of 1133 Ogden Road, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, at Piedmont Medical Center, with his children at his side.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at New Mount Olivet AME Zion Church, with the Rev. Alvin W. McLamb officiating. Burial will be at Barber Memorial Cemetery.
He was born in Clarendon County, S.C., the son of the late Charles F. and Julia McFadden Dingle. He attended Clarendon County Public Schools and York Technical College. He was employed at the Celanese Corporation for 38 years. He was a member of New Mt. Olivet AME Zion Church, where he served as a Trustee Board member, and served on many other auxiliaries in the church. Mr. Dingle was also a member of Sons of Light Masonic Lodge No. 61, where he served as Master, Menzel Temple No. 35, Sterling Lodge No. 344, I.B.P.O.E. of W., Lilly of the Valley No. 24 Royal Arch Mason and Lancaster Consistory NO. 254.
Three brothers, Charles, Jesse and Elliott Dingle preceded him in death as well as Dorothy Staten Dingle and Margaret Roddey Dingle.

He is survived by one daughter, Stephanie Dingle of Rock Hill; one son, Enoch Bernard Dingle (Carolyn) of Rock Hill; grandson, Jared Staten Dingle of Rock Hill; two sisters, Esther Dove (Samuel) of Philadelphia, Pa., and Rhoda Dingle of Atlanta, Ga.; stepchildren, Darla Beale (Cerea) of Pineville, N.C., Gloria Simelton (Reginald), Cherita Davis (George) and Timothy Roddey (Lisa), all of Charlotte, N.C.; and a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive freinds from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Robinson Funeral Home. Mr. Dingle will be placed in the church at noon Saturday.
