CLOVER -- Helen Barnett Goforth, 73, of 114 Catawba St., passed Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, at home.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008, at Clover First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dave Stanford and the Rev. Jimmy Sams officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Goforth was born Feb. 20, 1934, in Clover, S.C., to the late Rufus Wilson and Delle Bigger Barnett. She was retired from the Clover School District, where she was the secretary at the Clover Middle School. Mrs. Goforth was also the secretary for her high school class of 1951 and an active member of the Clover First Baptist Church.
Survivors are her husband, James A Goforth of the home; sons, Richard Keith Goforth and wife, Mary of Clover and David Steven Goforth and wife, Cindy of Travelers Rest, S.C.; sisters, Rebecca Barnett Byrd of Fuquay Varina, N.C., and Sara Barnett Johnson of Dover, Del.; brothers, Rufus Wilson Barnett of Gastonia, N.C., and Mason Meek Barnett of Clover, S.C.; and grandchildren, Gregory Goforth, Bonnie Kingsbury and husband, Daniel, Karen Goforth and Anna Beth Goforth.
