ROCK HILL -- Mr. Sterlin Osco Shelby, 86, of 159 Sedgewood Drive, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, at Agape Rehabilitation in Rock Hill.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, with the Rev. Phil Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery with Masonic rites.
A native of Union County, Tenn., Mr. Shelby was a son of the late Milt Osco Shelby and the late Lucy Ann Butcher. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy 49th SeaBee Battalion during WWII in the Pacific. He retired with 41 years of service from Duke Power. He was a 50 year member of the Spencer Lodge in Salisbury, N.C., and a member of the Oasis Shrine Temple. He was the widower of Tracy Sisk Shelby.
Mr. Shelby is survived by his son, Michael Shelby and his wife, Neva of Seneca, S.C.; his daughters, Beckie S. Kistler and husband, Walter Andrew of Mount Holly, N.C., and Ellen S. Lundy and husband, Mark of Rock Hill; two brothers; two sisters; and three grandsons, Sam Kistler, Matt Shelby and Trent Shelby. The family would like to give special thanks to his caregiver, Carol Maury for her dedication and loving care.

The family will receive friends noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill.
