ROCK HILL -- Mrs. Grace Boroughs Watson, 96, of 831 McDow Drive, died Sunday, March 2, 2008, at Westminster Healthcare & Rehabilitation.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2008, at St. John's United Methodist Church, with Dr. Larry Hays and the Rev. Sandra King officiating. Burial will be 10 a.m., prior to the service, at Forest Hills Cemetery.
A native of Liberty, S.C., Mrs. Grace Boroughs Watson was a daughter of the late John and Zora Smith Boroughs. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church and the Belle Bennett Sunday School Class. She was a former teacher and librarian for Rock Hill School District 3. She loved gardening, reading and visiting the beach. She was the widow of William Harold Watson Sr.
Mrs. Watson is survived by her sons, William Harold Watson Jr. and wife, Nancy of St. Simon's Island, Ga., and Stanley Boroughs Watson of San Francisco, Calif.; her daughter, Nancy Watson Billing and husband, Fred of Rock Hill; her four grandchildren, William Harold Watson III and wife, Diana, Kara Watson Peterson and husband, Erik, Salley Billing Fey and husband, Erik and Kathryn Billing Wink and husband, Darin; eight great-grandchildren; and her longtime friend and companion, Geraldine Sanders.
