CLEVELAND, N.C. -- Mr. Clarence Eugene Sanders, 77, of 420 East Main St., and formerly of 1130 Rogers St., Chesapeake, Va., and Great Falls, S.C., died Friday, April 11, 2008, at his home.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Monday, April 14, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, with the Rev. Marion Dry officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Great Falls.
Mr. Sanders was born Dec. 29, 1930, in Great Falls, a son of the late Quincy Adams Sanders and Ida Mae Greer Sanders. He attended the schools of Chesapeake, Va., and was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a retired foreman from M & B of Norfolk.
He was the widower of Joanne Lucas Sanders.

Surviving are his sons, Terry, David, Phillip and wife, Lisa, and Doug Sanders all of Chesapeake; daughter, Diane Miles of South Mills, N.C.; stepdaughter, Robin Davis of Cleveland, N.C.; stepson, James C. Young of Harker Heights, Texas; sisters, Linda Shepherd of Moyock, N.C., and Phyllis Donahue of Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Paul Miles Jr., Scott Hevden, April Sanders, Joe Robinson, Davian Robinson, Milton White, Shevenna Allison and Sammill White; five great-grandchildren, Madison Robinson, Christina Carter, Macari Allison, Michael Allison and Samaih White.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by a stepson, Robert Robinson; a brother, Quincy Adams Sanders Jr.; and his sisters, Opal Batton, Carol Sanders and Ruby Sellars.
