GREAT FALLS -- Mr. Hazel Llewellyn "Lou" Ferguson, 77, of 5407 William Martin Road died Monday, April 14, 2008, at his home.
Graveside funeral services will be 3 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2008, at Greenlawn Cemetery, with the Rev. Curtis Cameron, the Rev. Brian Hovis, and the Rev. Marion Dry officiating.
Mr. Ferguson was born May 9, 1930, in Lando, S.C., a son of the late George Franklin Ferguson and Willie Lenora Wallace Ferguson. A graduate of Lewisville High School, Mr. Ferguson was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was retired from Celanese Fibers Co. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Bertha Raye Koon Ferguson; daughters, Melanie F. Merchant and husband, Ralph of York, S.C., and Cecilia F. Henson and husband, Billy of Great Falls; one granddaughter, Megan Henson of Great Falls; two grandsons, Chase Henson of Great Falls and Harrison Banks of York; two stepgranddaughters, Tiffany Dover and Jessica Merchant of York; three sisters, Loretta Rockholt and husband, Newton of Lando, Brenda Hannon and husband, Jim of West Bridgewater, Mass., and Clineth Ann Carnes and husband, Grover of Oxford, Ga.; three brothers, Olin Ferguson and wife, Cathy of Chester, Leon Ferguson and wife, Margaret of Branden, Fla., and Arnold Ferguson and wife, Jane of Lilburn, Ga. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Fred Lee Ferguson, Troy Ferguson and George Marion Ferguson; and sisters, Faye and Kay Ferguson and Gladys Hough.
