FORT MILL -- Mrs. Montie Faye Sheriff Faile, 79, of Fort Mill, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at Piedmont Medical Center.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2008, at Flint Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Chris Autry and the Rev. Tony Caruso officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Born in Westminster, S.C., Mrs. Faile was a daughter of the late Charlie Bond Sheriff and Anne Blanche Sheriff. Mrs. Faile was retired from J.P. Stevens, where she was a weaver. She was a good Christian and loved her church, Flint Hill Baptist. She enjoyed playing Bingo, bowling and traveling. Mrs. Faile was the widow of the late Edgar Gwynne Faile. She was a loving Mom, Granny, and Maw Maw.
Surviving are three daughters, Gwen Welch of Indian Land, Emily Brewster and her husband, Jesse, of York and Joy Parker and her husband, Danny, of Rock Hill; her son, Jimmy Smith and his wife, Mary Jane, of Newberry; a sister, Sara King of Seneca; ten grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, April 20, 2008, at Wolfe Funeral Home and other times at the home of Joy Parker, 1309 Dansington Ave. in Rock Hill.
